Endangered: 1973 Vintage Deck House in McLean - $595K

This listing is for an untouched 1973 Deck House on nearly half an acre in McLean. This is being marketed as a potential tear down for the land located here.

What do you reckon ' Built with 3 bedrooms, but windows may not meet current code.' means? That some of the bedrooms might be below grade and with windows not of the right size or ability to open or something that would prevent them from being counted as bedrooms?

Mike, here is another one that my wife and I looked at when we were home shopping recently: http://www.homesdatabase.com/home-listings-SPRING+LAKE-VIENNA-VA-MRIS-FX7031368 They even had a sign out front for a company that would tear it down and build a horrific McMansion. I hope it finds the right buyer.

They could at least TRY to market the house, with decent pictures taken during the daytime!! It wouldn't cost them anything to just put a little effort into the listing. I don't understand how anyone with any sense of style or appreciation for the past can be so eager to destroy a vintage house just to make a quick buck.
